The Last Leg: Bristol
I made it to my final country, England! I am excited but also sad that this is the last country I will be going to before I go home. It was pretty easy to get from my hostel in Lisbon to my hostel in Bristol. I got there on Wednesday night and had all day Thursday to hang out in the city. I walked around town and found a town square with chairs and a large screen to watch the Olympics! It was like all of my dreams came true. I was so happy and I sat down for a little bit to w
Sunny Portugal
Portugal has been amazing! The day we got to Lisbon we decided to go on a walking tour. According to our guide Lisbon is the second oldest city in Europe! Athens is the oldest, then Lisbon, then Rome. I had no clue Lisbon was older than Rome! The tour was very long and very hot. Combine that with the little sleep we had from the night train and we were dying by the end. After lunch we stopped in shops and made our way back to the hostel to watch some Olympics and rest. Madrid! My train from Barcelona to Madrid was the nicest one I've been on yet! I sat behind a couple of American families and one lady let me read one of her People magazines, which was awesome. Once I got to Madrid I decided to take a rest evening that consisted of me watching the Olympics in bed. It was lovely and I only got out of bed to eat supper but that was still in the hostel. I sat by some awesome people at supper and had way more fun than I thought I would. Everyone
Barcelona, España
I have been looking forward to Spain my entire trip! It is the only place where I can kind of figure out what is going on by reading signs and can kind of understand what people say! Of course in Barcelona they mostly speak Catalan but a lot of stuff is in Spanish anyways. I got in on Friday night after a very long day of taking trains from Switzerland to Barcelona. As soon as I got to my hostel there was a ton of free sangria in the common room! Every day the hostel has some

I was in Lucerne, Switzerland for the past couple of days and I got out just before the rainy days! Lucerne is a very beautiful place. My hostel was a half an hour walk from the city center of Lucerne but it was a pretty walk. I got to walk through the fortification wall and through a neighborhood that reminded me a bit of the neighborhoods on Cleveland Street. I spent Wednesday walking around Lucerne. I didn't have time to sketch while I was in Croatia since we were so busy
Augustiner and Castles
I'm sure you will all be glad to hear I actually made it to Munich even though it turned out being more difficult than I had anticipated. Back on Saturday I took a bus transfer to the Zagreb train station. Unfortunately my train was late which made me miss my connecting train in Austria. Therefore I had to wait two hours for the next train but the next train didn't take me straight to Munich like the earlier train would have. I had to go to Salzburg (so basically I did my who
